Today we are building the frame for the layout.
We did it in this order, for the simple reason that we didn't want the frame sections to get in the way when putting in the screws for the raisers from under the plywood board.

This is the finished helix on the West. Note the Glacier Gravel Co.	Look at the supports over the first track We used upside down "L's" to do it.	After attaching the side supports, we cross connected the edges like a "X".
Here you can see the "X" supports, made of 2X1's and 1X1's	Another look from the East, at the almost completed supporting frame.	John lifted the layout on its side, to show how strong he his. :-)
This is the West side of the supporting frame.	Another center shoot, note that John was able to hold it up for 3 pictures.	David plays with "Great Stuff", is this work, or is this fun?
