Progress of working on my layout for the Train!

On this and the following pages are some pictures of John and me (David) working on the layout for an N-Scale train. I would like to thank John for offering me his space in his garage, due to the limited space in my house. At some point we have to transport the layout to my house, but that's going to be another story.
Please visit
John's home page and say hello.
The size of the layout is 32"X74". It is build on a 3/4" piece of plywood with a frame made of 2"X2" pieces of wood.

It took awhile to get to the final plan from the original plan and it also saved us a lot of mistakes we would have done, thanks to a the helpful people from the newsgroup of train enthusiasts: rec.models.railroad

Click here, to see the final plan for the layout. It was designed with the "Right Track " software from Atlas and finished in "Adobe PhotoShop".
All pictures on this page where taken on 01/17/99.
When ever there is new material we used, there will be a link to a material list.
